So even with Hurricane Irene upon us, the party was on! The morning started alright, until we lost power for about 3 hours. Everyone who said they would come, did! Will seemed to have had a wonderful time. He enjoyed the cake, well the frosting, and was in love with Baby Harper! Here's the tractor cake, along with the small farmer to add to the barn yard theme... Our original plan for the party was to have the kids outside playing in the super awesome kiddie pool WITH slide and the slip n' slide that was such the hit last year. Miss Irene put a damper on that, so rainy day contingency plan came into play. I found a pack of "bear" half masks for about $2 at Michael's. We had the kids color/design their own animal masks...yes, I know bears are not commonly known as barn yard animals, but it was the best we could do. The kids seems to like the project and many of them wore them around the house for a while, including the man of the hour. Thanks again to Lynette for the photos!!
