Yes, he is able to leap tall buildings in a single bound! Well, not really as he is still trying to learn to walk. Will and I spent last week in Boston after my 20th High School reunion. Jason was up for that and then came home the next day. We had a really nice time.
Anyway, we stayed at my parents' house that weekend along with my brother Russell and his family since their condo got flooded over 4th of July weekend (totally sucked because they suffered a lot of damage, but I just heard they can move back into their home tomorrow!!). Sunday after Jason left for the airport, Will and I drove to Western Mass to stay with my sister and her family for a couple of days. We had a fun time just hanging out. She and her friend Jenn had me watch both Twilight movies on Monday and then Monday night we went to see the last one. Without sounding too much like a creepy old lady, I guess I am "Team Edward" as he is very dreamy for an infant. Disclaimer: he is NO Eric from True Blood.
Tuesday, we drove back to my parents' for the rest of the week. Karen left her kids there so she and Danny could go to the Cape for a conference. Let's recap: Mom, Dad, Cheryl, Will, Russell, Stacy, Cooper (5yrs), Dillon (7mos), Sydney (3yrs), Declan (1yr), plus three dogs - staying at my parents' house. It was insane. Will and I are used to the quiet-only-child-Aber-lifestyle, not the let's run while whining and yelling at the top of our lungs type life. A bit overwhelming, but what can ya do? Will was known as the observer and would try very hard to keep up with the older kids, but since he is still working on the walking thing, he was not very successful.
Sasha came over on Thursday and stayed until Friday night. We had a nice time with her and it is always fun to have all 6 grandkids together. My parents were in grandparent heaven over that.
Friday night, my parents had a cookout and my cousin Tommy came over with his family and we had a lovely time. Crazy loud time, but lovely nonetheless.
Will and I flew home Saturday. The only "eventful" thing that happened on the flight was that Will somehow peed all over me. His "diaper shirted during the flight", apparently and I was soaked. Then the flight attendants were not too pleased with me since I changed his diaper right there on the vacant seat next to me as I tried to figure out what to do with my pee-pee pants. Apparently, I was supposed to bring him into the toilet closet and change him there. Right.
Long of the short, it was great to be in MA and see my family, but we were so happy to be back in our home. Bummer that we are not going to Boston at Christmas, but what can ya do?
