So on a whim. we decided to change over Will's crib into the toddler bed. We decided that to make a big deal out of it, Will would help in the building of the toddler bed. He has his solft tool set and wandered around the crib "drilling" everything. Once we got the side down and the mattress off, he decided to run the show from the wooden platform. He woulod stomp around and point and bark unintelligible orders, a true foreman. Jason managed to get Will's help putting in the screws.
He would "push the button" on the drill and giggle and jump. Managed to get it all put together and tried to present it to him as his new bed and he could not have been less interested. He was much more interested in picking up Jason's tools and handing them back to him. Clean up took a half hour as we tried to fill all the spots in the tool carrier by walking around upstairs and retrieving the various pieces and then repeat because somehow they managed to be removed from the carrier yet again...

Good news is bedtime was not an issues as he went right down with no problem and stayed in bed. I attributed it to his months of daycare training taking naps on cots. Jason is attributing it to the fact that we had to give him Nighttime Benadryl for his allergies... Whatever, he did great!
