Boston Trip!

The kids and I went up to Boston to celebrate Lili's baby shower and decided to stay for a longer family visit.  The shower was nice and Lili got some nice things.  The kids gave Baby Nicholas the book Goodnight, NC", so he will think of them when it gets read to him.

The following day we got a visit from the Gerber cousins and had fun running around outside.  They were off to Israel that week, so we were super happy to get to visit with them before they left.  That night, I got to go to dinner with my dear friends, Kristen and Laurie and enjoyed some great food, drinks and lots of laughs! Definitely over-served in the wine department, but hey, it was fun!

Tuesday and Wednesday nights we sent at the Roy's in the 'Ham.  Syd and Declan ran Will ragged, it was great!

Thursday, we got back to Lynnfield and I met Sean, Lili and Sasha at the Revere movie theater to see The Avengers.  It was a really good movie and we had a nice time.  Unfortunately, when I got back to my parents, I found out that my godfather had passed away.  He was sick for a while, but it is still sad that he is gone.  He was a good man.  Friday, Mom, the kids and I went over to see my godmother, since I would not be in MA for the services.  It was bitter sweet, and I am so glad I went.

Saturday, we flew back home.  You should have seen Will sprinting to Jason when he finally saw him.  Brought tears to my eyes and that is saying a lot.

Sunday was Mother's Day and so I got to sleep in until 10 and then we went to Trali in Raleigh for a traditional Irish breakie and then I got to leave my family and spend a few hours at a spa getting a massage.  It was glorious.

So, the trip to MA was fun, except that Ash decided she is no longer sleeping through the night.  She has kept it up since.  Totally sucks. Hoping she decides VERY SOON to try to sleep through the night again, because it is taking a toll on me, for sure!

The above photo I took on my phone and sent it to my parents as a "thanks for having us" photo.  I think it came out really cute!
