Memorial Day Weekend!

We had a lovely time in Greensboro for Memorial Day this year.  Humma and Poppa's pool opens this weekend, so we brought the kids over and spent a night having in the 'boro.

We left the house Saturday morning and made it to Greensboro by 11 or so.  Will was super excited to go.  He woke up, went potty, and came into out room with clothes in-hand saying, "we go to Poppa's house now?".

Will enjoyed the ride over since we found the earphones that go with our DVD player in the car.  He watched Handy Manny and we got to listen to the radio.  Everyone was happy.  He was so cute and seemed to not want to move his head so they would not fall off.  (Blurry, but he kept moving around when he saw me attempt to take his photo).

Ashley passed out pretty much once we left our driveway and remained that way until we got closer to the Aber's house.  Will gave us periodic alertness updates..."Ashy awake...Ashy asleep...Ashy still asleep...Ashy awake..."

Once we got there, Will was going mad seeing his grandparents.  He "helped" his Poppa refill the bird feeder and then "helped" with other little things in the yard.  Will loves being helpful.   Mrs. Aber took Ash, fed her, changed her and got to her fall asleep again.  Since Ash is not sitting up on her own yet, it is nice to have other people hold her.  Love her smiley face, but man, is she needy!  :)  After his chores,  he did a little bird watching to make sure they enjoyed the feast he and Poppa had prepared for them.  The feeder was about 2 - 3 feet from the window, but note how he still insisted on using the binoculars to see them in action.  Pretty sure he could not see a thing, but eh, he had fun.

We had lunch, Will went down for a nap and we left Mr. Aber alone to entertain Ash while Jason, Mrs. Aber and I went to Garden Ridge.  On the way back, Mr. Aber called to say that Ash was now passed out...so we decided not to come back and went to the Mall to check out some new sheets.  We're crazy like that.

After nap, we went over to the pool and got some really cute shots of the pups having fun.  Well, Ash was not too pleased in the beginning, but the photo CLEARLY shows she had the time of her life.  Will was getting pretty brave with jumping in, so we needed to keep him in that life jacket.  He also enjoyed "pushing" Ashley in her floaty, although at times, it was away from everyone...
